St. Michaels

We passed the 1879 Hooper Strait Lighthouse as we entered the pretty St. Michaels harbor.

We walked the town, stopping at three different wineries -and one distillery- for tastings. At one point, the Chief of Police decided that we might be having too much fun!

The downtown area was pleasant to walk. Cars would stop when we needed to cross the street, but the “whistle man” also traveled from corner to corner blowing his whistle to stop traffic for pedestrians. We could hear his whistle all over town!

Historic homes and well-known restaurants lined the waterfront. https://www.stmichaelsmd.org/st-michaels-history
