We passed the 1879 Hooper Strait Lighthouse as we entered the pretty St. Michaels harbor. We walked the town, stopping at three different wineries -and one distillery- for tastings. We cruised into Norfolk Harbor. In front of our boat, the city waterfront; behind, the naval station. We took a walk around the city and enjoyed a beer and the view from ‘Grain’ a rooftop pub. Memorial Day weekend was spent in Oriental, NC, at River Dunes. The marina had an elegant clubhouse. It was a great place to hang out for the three-day weekend, and we met several fun people who kept coaxing us to move to North Carolina!
